John Stewart is a field manager for the Soil Health Partnership covering central and southern Indiana and Ohio. His previous career experiences in plot monitoring, data collection and plant research bring a lot of value to the farmers that he serves as they attempt to understand and improve their own soil health.
John graduated from Iowa State University with a Master of Science in agronomy and holds a Bachelor of Science in agriculture economics from Purdue University. From 2012 until joining SHP, John worked as a research associate for Beck’s Superior Hybrids in Atlanta, Indiana.
He grew up in Yorktown, Indiana on a small family farm. His father and in-laws remain active farmers and John enjoys helping when he can. John and his wife are kept busy with three young sons. He also enjoys fishing, golfing, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities with his family.
